5-O-(2-cyanoethyl) 3-O-methyl 4-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-2,6-dimethyl-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate - Introduction
Clevidipine ester is a drug with the chemical name (5R,6R)-2-[[(2S)-2-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-2-(2-propoxyethyl)-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl]methyl]-6-(1,3-benzodiol-5-yl)-pyridin -2,3,5. The following is a description of the properties, uses, preparation and safety information of clevidipine ester:
Nature:
-Appearance: Clevidipine ester is a white to off-white crystalline powder.
-Solubility: clevidipine ester is soluble in ethanol, chloroform, slightly soluble in ether, dichloromethane, almost insoluble in water.
-Melting point: about 149-152 ℃.
Use:
-Clevidipine ester is a calcium channel blocker, mainly used to treat hypertension and angina.
-It reduces the influx of calcium ions in the heart and vascular smooth muscle by blocking the L-type calcium channel on the cell membrane, thereby reducing the load on the heart and the contraction of blood vessels.
Preparation Method:
Clevidipine ester can be synthesized by the following steps:
1. First, 3,4-dichloroacetophenone was used as a starting material and reacted with 2-propoxy ethanol to obtain the precursor of clevidipine.
2. Next, the precursor is reacted with 1,3-propanediol lactone in the presence of a catalyst to produce clevidipine ester.
Safety Information:
-When using or handling clevidipine ester, you need to comply with relevant safety procedures, including wearing gloves, avoiding contact with skin and eyes, and maintaining a good ventilation environment.
-Clevidipine is intended for medical use only and is not permitted as a food, beverage or household chemical.
-Follow your doctor's prescription or pharmacist's advice when using clevidipine, and should not be used on your own or over the recommended dose.
-If an allergic reaction or other discomfort occurs, stop using clevidipine ester immediately and consult a doctor.
